What is PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana?
Launched in February 2024, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG) is the Government of India's flagship rooftop solar scheme aimed at one crore Indian households. It provides direct bank-credit subsidy plus 300 free units of monthly electricity for residential consumers who install grid-tied rooftop solar.
For Telangana residents, the central PMSG benefit is layered with an additional state-level top-up under the Telangana Solar Policy 2024. The combined benefit for a 3 kW or larger system is up to ₹78,000.

- DISCOM feasibility approvalTSSPDCL/TSNPDCL inspects roof + load and issues feasibility letter (7–15 days).
- Vendor mapping + installationWe're already empanelled (TGREDCO TSRE260936), so vendor mapping is automatic. Installation: 7–10 days. We use BIS-certified Tier-1 panels (Adani / Waaree / Tata) and DCR-compliant inverters.
- Net meter + inspection + commissioningDISCOM installs bi-directional net meter (15–30 days), then inspects and commissions the system. Commissioning report is uploaded automatically.

Who is eligible?

Do I apply separately for the ?
Currently PMSG is the only active rooftop solar subsidy. We handle the full PMSG application end-to-end via the National Portal + DISCOM.

Can apartments apply?
Individual flat owners cannot apply directly. Apartment common-area solar must be applied via the RWA/society and gets ₹18,000/kW under the group-housing track.
What happens if my application is rejected?
Common rejection reasons: wrong consumer number, insufficient roof shade-free area, duplicate application. We diagnose and resubmit at no extra charge.
